TY and 6th year students marked Earth Day by launching a Biodiversity drive in the school. TY students upcycled old tyres as planters filling them with wildfower seeds. They also planted up some existing boxes with new flowers kindly sponsored by John Hearn Hardware. TY and 6th years broke ground for a wildflower meadow to be planted in the next few weeks. This is just the start of a drive to increase biodiversity in the the area and to help our endangered pollinators. The school is now part of a countrywide plan organised by the National Biodiversity Data Centre
