We had a medal presentation yesterday in school for our winning GAA teams from the 2024/2025 season. The panels that collected medals were the: 1st year Hurling County Champions U15 Hurling County Champions U15 Gaelic Football County Champions. Well done to all involved. We look forward to building on this success in the coming years.

Irish Road Victims Association Talk Mr Leo Leghio vice president of the Irish Road Victims Association visited ERSS and spoke to TY and fifth year students on Thursday 7th May. Leo spoke frankly and honestly about the worrying statistics in relation to road safety. Leo emphasised to students the ever present dangers on the road and how to minimise risk. Another busy week to look forward to here at ERSS

Liam, Evan and Austin represented ERSS at today’s “Preparing for the Presidency” event in Kilkenny, where they heard from MEP Billy Kelleher and Minister for Europe Thomas Byrne. Through discussions on climate action, security, competitiveness and rights, the day highlighted how vital it is for young people to contribute their perspectives as Europe plans for the future.

Mass Today, 1st year students attended Mass in St. Nicholas’ Church to celebrate the Feast Day of Blessed Edmund Rice. Well done to those involved. Many thanks to Fr. Paul Waldron for celebrating the Mass and to Mr. Noel Casey for his continued support and dedication to our school.

Today our second year group travelled to Emerald Park for their school trip. A great day was had by all.
