6th year Graduation 2025

On a bright and sun-filled 22nd of May, the school community gathered to mark a momentous occasion—the 6th Year Graduation Ceremony of 2025. The day began with rehearsals that morning, setting the tone for what would be a truly special event. Before the ceremony, the graduating class was treated to delicious pizza from Roberto’s, generously provided by the Parents’ Association—a gesture warmly appreciated by all.

The ceremony itself began with a thoughtful and uplifting welcome from Head Boy Cormac Cummins, who shared cherished memories and heartfelt thanks to teachers, staff, and families who supported the students throughout their five or six years at Edmund Rice Secondary School. His speech perfectly captured the spirit of the occasion.

Fr. Patrick Cahill celebrated a meaningful Mass, with assistance from Noel Casey, bringing a sense of reflection and unity to the proceedings. The musical contributions from the students and members of the ERSS Music Club added a rich and emotional layer to the celebration.

A highlight of the ceremony was Ms. Mulcahy’s moving address, in which she spoke with deep affection and encouragement for the Class of 2025. Certificates were presented to all graduates, and a special moment of celebration followed as Mr. McCormack and 6th Year student Killian Power presented medals to the Senior Soccer Team for their fantastic victory in the Dick Lowney Cup.

Following the ceremony, parents and loved ones gathered for refreshments, once again kindly provided by the Parents’ Association. The atmosphere was one of pride, joy, and shared achievement, as students posed for photos, embraced their families, and began to look ahead to the next chapter.

The day was a true celebration of all that the 6th Year students have accomplished, and a fitting farewell to a remarkable group of young men. #ERSS
