CAO Applications

The CAO Online Application Facility for 2026 has opened for students on Wednesday, November 5th from 12.00 PM.

We are currently going through the CAO application process with students in school. Although February 1st 2026 is the deadline students are urged to take advantage of the discounted registration fee of €35 (Available until 5 PM on January 20th 2026).

Registration after this January date will see the cost rise to the standard €50 fee (Up until normal registration closes at 5 PM on February 1st 2026) .The Late Registration facility will be open from 12.00 PM on March 5th 2026 and will require a €60 fee. Potential applicants are advised to consult the white pages of the CAO Handbook for all the important application information. An online CAO Handbook in PDF version well as a parent CAO guide has been uploaded online to students Teams accounts as well as being emailed to all Sixth year parents.

2025 5th November (12.00PM) CAO 2026 Online Application Facility Opens 2026 20th January (17:00) - Apply online by this date to avail of the discounted application fee of €35. 1st February (17:00) - Normal closing date for applications. 5th February (12:00) - Online facility to amend course choices becomes available (€10 Fee) 1st March (17:00) - Closing date for amending course choices 5th March (12:00) - Late application facility opens. 1st May (17:00) - Closing date for late applications 5th May (12:00) - Online Change of Mind facility becomes available (Free) Before 15th May - Late Paper Applicants will be sent a Statement of Course Choices Before End of May - Statement of Application Record sent to all applicants 1st July (17:00) - Change of Mind closes
