🎉 Happy Feast Day to all in our school community! 🎉
Today, May 5th, we joyfully celebrate Edmund Rice's Feast Day. Today is a day to reflect on the inspiring life and legacy of Blessed Edmund Rice. Born in Callan, Co. Kilkenny in 1762, Edmund dedicated his life to serving the poor and educating young people, especially those marginalized by society.
He founded the Christian Brothers, a congregation committed to providing quality education rooted in compassion and justice. Today, his mission lives on in our school community. Guided by his values, we strive to nurture students not only in academic excellence but also in empathy, faith, and a commitment to social justice. Edmund’s spirit continues to shape our ethos, one of service, inclusion, and living out the Gospel in everyday actions. O God, we thank you for the life of Blessed Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those who are poor and treated unfairly. May we follow his example of faith and kindness. Grant us the courage and care of Blessed Edmund as we seek to live our lives showing love and helping others.
We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.
