On Friday, October 3rd, we marked the end of an era as we celebrated the retirement of Maura O’Neill, who dedicated an incredible 45 years of service to Edmund Rice Secondary School.
Maura has been the cornerstone of ERSS in the office, welcoming generations of students, supporting countless staff members, and keeping the school running with warmth, efficiency, and her unmistakable good humour. Her kindness, humour, and deep knowledge of school life have left a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
The Student Council made a heartfelt presentation to Maura, and staff gathered to share stories, laughter, and gratitude for all she has done for the ERSS community. A presentation was made to Maura on behalf of her colleagues. A special thank you to Angela Comerford for the stunning cake that perfectly complemented the occasion and to the Carraig Hotel for hosting the event.
As we say goodbye, we do so with immense appreciation and affection. Wishing her every joy, good health, and happiness in her well-deserved retirement.
