Irish Road Victims Association Talk
Mr Leo Leghio vice president of the Irish Road Victims Association visited ERSS and spoke to TY and fifth year students on Thursday 7th May. Leo spoke frankly and honestly about the worrying statistics in relation to road safety. Leo emphasised to students the ever present dangers on the road and how to minimise risk. Leo also spoke about driver rights and responsibility. Student were introduced to the driver road safety pledge. Students watched several clips on road incidents. Finally Leo spoke about his own harrowing experience of loosing a family member on the roads and how it has affected himself and his immediate family.
A huge thank you from all at ERSS to Leo for addressing this hugely important topic as many of our students begin their driving journey.
