Teacher's Study Visit to Brussels

🇪🇺Ms. Shaw was selected as one of just 24 primary and secondary school teachers from across Ireland to take part in a prestigious Teachers’ Study Visit to Brussels, hosted by the European Commission and the European Parliament.

She will engage in a series of information sessions and discussions focusing on:

✅ The European Commission’s work and regional policy

✅ Teaching the EU in schools

✅ The fight against disinformation

✅ Education initiatives like the Jean Monnet programme

✅ A roundtable with Irish MEPs

✅ A meeting with the EU Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, and Rule of Law

This visit supports the integration of European topics into classroom teaching and strengthens global citizenship education across Irish schools.
