Bernard Casey is a comedian, actor, and drama teacher from Portmagee, Co. Kerry. Since first taking to the stage during UCC RAG Week in 2011, he has gone on to sell out major venues such as the INEC, Vicar Street, and The Everyman Theatre in Cork, and has also performed internationally in London, New York, and Boston. His online comedy sketches have attracted over 15 million views, earning him a following of more than 130,000 across social media. Alongside his work as a performer, Bernard has developed a highly regarded Drama Workshop specifically for secondary school students across Ireland. This year, our Transition Year group had the fantastic opportunity to work with Bernard. His workshop was energetic, hands‑on, and centred around acting and improvisation. Students were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, collaborate creatively, and explore new ways of expressing themselves. Many discovered talents they didn’t know they had, while others gained confidence and a greater appreciation for performance and storytelling.

Action shots from our TY Comedy Workshop with Bernard Casey 🎭✨ Improvisation, quick thinking, big energy, and lots of laughs as students stepped out of their comfort zones and onto the stage!
