John B Keane has long been one of Irelands most famous playwrights. During English classes,TY’s were introduced to some of his most iconic pieces over the last few weeks: ‘Big Maggie’, ‘Sive’, and ‘The Field’. Today in class they enjoyed watching the most Irish production of the ‘The Field’. Written in 1965 and brought to life on screen by Jim Sheridan in 1990, TY’s enjoyed watching it and getting to know the infamous ‘Bull McCabe’.
