Thursday and Friday this week 32 of our Transition Years took part in the Adventure element of the Gaisce Award. The group hiked through the woods and by the riverside near Graignamanagh Thursday morning. Kayaking on the River Barrow was a highlight despite the poor weather. At night, the boys spent their downtime playing soccer in the AstroTurf. They fully immersed themselves into the spirit of the adventure and camped overnight. Friday morning the group rose early to start their assent of Brandon Hill and returned safely within 5 hours. Well done to everyone who participated in the event. 🥾🚣⚽ ⛺🏔️
