Gaisce Adventure - Graiguenamanagh

Transition Year students recently took part in a memorable two‑day outdoor adventure with E Movement as part of their Gaisce Award programme.

The group travelled on Monday to take part in a range of water‑based activities including kayaking, hydro‑bikes and boat trips, facilitated by Go with the Flow River Adventures. After a busy day on the water, students enjoyed a relaxing evening at camp, made extra special by live music from the very talented Kyle Clarke. The night was spent camping overnight, adding to the overall experience.

On Tuesday, students embarked on a guided 10 km river and woodland walk, beginning at Balteighlay Bridge and finishing in Graiguenamanagh. Despite tired legs, the group showed great determination and teamwork throughout the walk.

Students returned home that evening with tired bodies but wonderful memories, having successfully completed a rewarding challenge that will contribute towards their Gaisce Award.

Well done to all involved for their enthusiasm, resilience and positive spirit throughout the trip.
