TY Mini Med School Participation

Transition Year students Liam Shannon and Dylan Thomas recently took part in the renowned Mini Med School, coordinated by University Hospital Waterford in partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

This annual three‑day programme—now in its fifteenth year—offers TY students from across the South East an exciting introduction to the world of medicine. Participants experience hands‑on clinical skills sessions, along with interactive lectures and discussions delivered by medical professionals from RCSI and the South East region.

The programme continues to receive excellent feedback for its engaging, practical, and inspiring approach to medical education. We are delighted that Liam and Dylan had the opportunity to represent our school and participate in this outstanding learning experience.
