Transition Year Visit to Ormond Castle

Last Friday, our Transition Year students enjoyed a visit to Ormond Castle in Carrick-on-Suir, where they had the opportunity to learn about the fascinating history right on our doorstep.

A guided tour brought the story of the castle and the local area to life, giving students a greater appreciation of Carrick-on-Suir’s rich heritage. The visit was particularly interesting for our Spanish and Brazilian students, who enjoyed discovering more about the history and culture of the town in which they are spending their Transition Year.
