TY Pollution Study

The data is in. TY students collected data on air pollution around the school earlier in the year. The tubes have now been analysed as part of the Globe National protocol and added to the national data base and NASA site. While air quality around the school yard and pitch are excellent the data collected close to the main road is not ideal due to the traffic. Recordings of 11.2 micrograms per metre cubed were found by the road falling to 5.1 by the pitch.. Great opportunity to be part of a national survey and collect real scientific data.
