2nd year Basketball
Congratulations to the second year basketball team who won their opening fixture on Thursday. They beat Gaelcholáiste Port Lairge by a score of 44-2. It was an excellent performance with standouts including Jamie Lonergan who scored 12 points, and also Harry O Brien and Brodie Wheeler who scored 8 and 9 points respectively. There were as many as nine different scorers in the match. Well done on a good start. The next fixture is against Colaiste Andriu. ▓

1st Year Christmas Fun Day
Our 1st Year students enjoyed a fantastic Festive Fun Day filled with fun, teamwork, and Christmas cheer. The day began with students breaking into teams and taking part in an exciting treasure hunt, followed by a general knowledge quiz which included a music round. Well done to all the winning teams for their great effort and teamwork. At break time, everyone enjoyed delicious breakfast rolls kindly made in Centra, which were thoroughly enjoyed by both our 1st Year students

Lion's Club Hampers
On Wednesday, 17th December, 6th Year students representing our student body presented food hampers to Carrick-on-Suir Lions Club. Over the last number of weeks, students, staff and parents kindly donated non perishable food including many festive treats to our food appeal. As a school, we are very proud of the generosity and caring nature of our students.

🎉 Celebrating Excellent Attendance 🎉 Well done to our students who achieved 95% or higher attendance this term. Your commitment, consistency, and effort have not gone unnoticed. Young SvP Fundraising
Members of Young SVP (1st , 2nd and Transition Year) presented a cheque (750 euro) to Mr. Michael Lonergan, St. Nicholas and St Mollerans Conference SVP Carrick-on-Suir today. A fantastic sum of money raised by the boys for a very worthy local cause. SVP members held a very successful bake and jersey sale in school and received many donations towards their fundraising efforts from near and far. A massive thank you to all in our school community for your support.

Basketball
The second year basketball team will have basketball training after school every Monday as they look go follow their very impressive campaign last year when they reached the South East final in first year. The group games will start after Christmas. The other teams in the group are Gaelcholaiste Port Lairge, Colaiste Andriu, Colaiste Cois Suire and Kilkenny City Vocational School. Christmas Carol Singing
This Christmas season, we were delighted to bring our musicians and singers to a local nursing home to share the joy of live music. Performing well-loved Christmas songs, they created a warm and uplifting atmosphere that residents truly enjoyed. TY Pollution Study
The data is in. TY students collected data on air pollution around the school earlier in the year. The tubes have now been analysed as part of the Globe National protocol and added to the national data base and NASA site. While air quality around the school yard and pitch are excellent the data collected close to the main road is not ideal due to the traffic. Recordings of 11.2 micrograms per metre cubed were found by the road falling to 5.1 by the pitch.. Great opportunity t

TY Ice Skating
This morning Transition Year students enjoyed a memorable day at Winterval in Waterford. The trip commenced with a visit to the cinema to watch the engaging film Now You See Me, which provided an exciting start to the day. Following the screening, students had the opportunity to explore the festive atmosphere, enjoy some shopping, and sample local food.
