We are delighted to share some wonderful moments from our Transition Year cookery classes. The students have shown great enthusiasm and creativity in the kitchen. 5th years enjoyed a lovely day in Limerick for UL open day today. They attended various talks in different buildings and got a taste of what college life is like.

6th year students attended the WWETB apprenticeship expo on October 9th. There was information on a diverse range of apprenticeships ranging from Zurick to Bausch & Lomb to traditional craft based apprenticeships.

MUN Our Model United Nations club is hard at work preparing for the upcoming DCMUN Conference. Delegates are diving into global issues, exploring possible resolutions, and strengthening their public speaking and debate skills. The excitement is building as students collaborate and deepen their understanding of international affairs.

Our TY students had the privilege of exploring Ormond Castle, a remarkable historical treasure right here in Carrick-on-Suir. Originally built before 1315 and later acquired by the powerful Butler family, the castle has seen centuries of transformation. Today in 1st year business studies, room 13, we did things a little differently. 5 students were selected to become business teachers for the class. It was their job to assist the other students in the class to complete household budgets. This is preparation for a budget exam on Friday. Best of Luck.

This is the second week our international students got involved with our school return bottle scheme. This is a new concept for our international students and they are enjoying promoting the return scheme around the school. Today we travelled to the local shop to make the deposit. All money raised is for the schools green school committee and charity.
